Job Description for programmer.

General: Programmer will work in industrial environment in USA, and abroad and will interact in person with customers on site. Also interact with TPH supervisor in persona and via email, phone, etc

Required

1. Programmer proficient in Studio 5000 and Factory TalkView SE, ME. 10 years of experience minimum

a. Programmer will work with Studio 5000 programming sotware (in ladder logic, function block), to monitor and control, AB VFDs (PF700, PF400, etc) with ethernet IP communication and other field instruments

b. Experience with industrial Ethernet

c. Understands and can work with AOI (Add-On-Instructions)

d. Read/interpret existing Studio 5000 programming language in ladder logic, function block and make modifications of existing program based on instructions from TPH.

2. Knowledge of instrumentation such as:

a. Wiring, setup and troubleshooting Pressure transducers with 4-2mA outputs single ended to IO card for controller to read.

b. Wiring and troubleshooting Flow meters with 4-2mA outputs differential to IO card for controller to read.

c. Wiring and troubleshooting Pneumatic actuated ball valves with 24VDC coils and auxiliary contacts to monitor open/closed status to IO card for controller to monitor and control.

d. Check wiring from field instruments into control panel and map hardwire points

3. Knowledge of VFDs set up and troubleshooting

4. Read and understand control panel schematics

a. Also, ability to mark drawings to indicate modifications or additions to existing electrical schematics

5. Basic understanding of industrial power systems and three phase induction motors for example:

a. Single phase 110VAC systems

b. Three phase power systems at 380VAC volts in below

c. Three phase Induction motors, squirrel cage

d. Electrical grounding

6. Basic understanding of pumping systems such as centrifugal pumps

7. Basic understanding hydraulic systems, such as hydraulic power units, and double acting hydraulic cylinders

8. Travel is required to industrial sites for startup and commissioning

9. Be able to drive and travel legally within USA and abroad

10. Be physically able to walk up and down stairs and ladders

Desirable but not required:

1. Drafting skills to do wiring diagrams

2. Electrician skills. Run raceways for instrument wiring

3. Computer skills to "redline" existing electrical schematics to record "as-builts" and/or changes that happen in the field

4. Language skills: Please indicate what other languages you know and your level of proficiency

5. Some experience integrating AB PLC controller with Siemens PLC. The end user may have existing Siemens controllers that may need to exchange data between AB controller and Siemens controller
