Data Specialist Modis IT is seeking a Data Specialist for a permanent position with one of our clients in Cleveland, Ohio. The Data Specialist will work closely with both internal teams as well as clients to monitor, analyze, and provide reports to identify and visualize trends, risks, and opportunities for improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members and key business stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Design and develop analytical models, data models, and business intelligence reports
  • Develop tools to assist in data manipulation, transformation, and automation using appropriate programming languages
  • Analyze product, market, and financial trends to help clients identify risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using applicable software
  • Use data to generate reports and/or predictive models to support business performance monitoring and decision making
  • Maintain data analytics platforms, including troubleshooting and evaluating for improvement opportunities
  • Design, develop, test, and support integrations between data warehouse and source applications

    • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or similar field
  • 3+ years' experience
  • Experience building and maintaining databases and data warehouses
  • Experience working with reporting and data visualization software
  • Experience building APIs to source systems and conducting ETL activities
  • Experience/Exposure to the following technologies/tools a plus:
  • Alteryx
  • Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau
  • R, Python, SQL JavaScript, Java, Ruby, or similar
  • Machine Learning/Predictive Analytics
