Our client on the east side of Cleveland is looking for a Network Engineer. This is a 6 month contract to hire position.

The qualified candidate will install and manage 3rd party applications.

They will help with both the infrastructure/server team and the application infrastructure team. The most important parts of this role is experience with Windows, Linux and VMware with an aptitude to learn. They will handle the application install, but then they have an application team that handles anything after.

The Engineer's main responsibility is to provide day-to-day support of the Company's server, storage, and 3rd party application technologies. They are responsible to install, maintain and monitor server hardware, storage, NAS and 3rd Party software products. They maintain detailed documentation of the infrastructure and execute DR testing. They will be a part of infrastructure / application projects. Project efforts will require the ability to work across a multitude of technical and non-technical groups. The position requires the ability to periodically participate in after-hours tasks such as on-call rotation and organizational outage windows.

Responsibilities:

Management, maintenance, and support of Company's Windows/Linux servers and DellEMC storage platforms
Ensures proper change management processes are followed at all times
Analyze system / software performance and make adjustments based on any identified problems while insuring it is utilized at its highest capacity
Perform disaster recovery and testing
Implement Automation of tasks leveraging PowerShell / PowerCli / BASH
Provide project planning the ability to follow organizational processes
Consistently communicate with client groups to determine needs
Consistent communication of project status to management and customers
Other duties / projects as assigned by the supervisor / manager
