Our client in the Cleveland, Ohio area is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester. This is a 12 month contract, with the potential for it to turn permanent.

THE QA Analyst will work with business stakeholders to identify business requirements, recommend process improvements, and collaborates with technical team members to design technology solutions to meet requirements.

Overview of role:

  • Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size
  • Perform testing on various software and reporting systems
  • Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process
  • Review user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Acts as a liaison between technology teams and business units, including supporting vendor partners as required
  • Facilitates the capturing of business and system requirements; works with technical team members to translate requirements into design deliverables
  • Provides advice in determining a best practice approach in meeting the business requirements
  • Identifies and documents functional requirements, test cases, and testing of the test cases through all phases of the project life cycle
  • Partners with technology teams in identifying the appropriate solution design
  • Provides training, documentation, and subject matter expertise to end users
  • Identifies, analyzes, and responds to project risks
  • Serves on medium to small initiatives, at times more than one
  • Partners with senior analysts to review work deliverables
  • Gather, interpret, and analyze data related to a system or business process
  • Present recommendations to system stakeholders based on data analysis
  • Research new functionality and best practices for your assigned area of responsibility

NON-TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data
  • Well-organized, methodical thinker with excellent decision-making skills
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities
