Sr. Cloud Architect

6 months contract to hire position.Hybrid schedule - no specific schedule in place and they are flexible based on projects, etc. Would like to have someone in NE Ohio. New cloud migration focus for a 70+ year old manufacturing client who is making the transition from on prem to cloud- exciting opportunity for someone to come in and help create/guide/build out this cloud environment. Ability to interface with business and others in the technology space to create a new automation focused cloud presence. Job Summary: As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for developing global solutions that enable streamlined access and use of cloud resources, while consolidating IT infrastructure, automating workloads, and driving innovation. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on leading by example and setting a high standard for the team. You will be responsible for bringing clarity to complexity and demonstrating smart ways to simplify.The Senior Cloud Architect will serve as a leader and mentor, providing excellent examples for local teams and business partners. A firm understanding of data center infrastructure systems, Microsoft Azure, and implementing large-scale projects to the cloud is essential to success in this role. The Senior Cloud Architect must thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage ambiguity and complexity, invent and simplify processes, and support multiple projects impacting a growing global organization.Effective communication and organizational skills are critical to this role. The Senior Cloud Architect must identify and eliminate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. Maturity, curiosity, creative problem solving, and team leadership are all essential attributes for this position.The Senior Cloud Architect will collaborate with IT Leadership, Enterprise IT Architects, IT engineering peers, and key business partners to develop the principles and guidelines for the future-state Cloud IT architecture in alignment with the strategic goals of the company.Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with IT Leadership, Enterprise IT Architects, IT engineering peers, and key business partners to develop the principles and guidelines for the future-state Cloud IT architecture.
• Continuously learn and keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and emerging best practices in Cloud architecture.
• Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

• 8+ years of experience in several of the following areas: Data Center infrastructure systems (Active Directory, Networking, SAN), database architecture, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in cloud architecture including designing, implementing, and managing workloads in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud-based platforms.
