Hip restaurant/bar seeking Executive Chef to handle kitchen operations.
We are also seeking experienced Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chefs and Line Cooks. Must have reliable transportation, a cell phone, a good personality and desire to work. Candidates with flexible weekend schedules preferred, but all applicants will be considered.
Qualified Chef candidates will have a minimum of 2 years fine dining experience, good work relations with local vendors and be able to maintain cost.
This is a working Chef's position and responsibilities will also include creating daily specials and sourcing local and seasonal ingredients. Compensation will be based on experience.
Duties:
- Creating new menu items
- Managing and training kitchen staff
- Maintaining proper costs and inventory
- Places a premium on quality ingredients and quality products
- Excellent cooking skills, with the ability to relate to and manage people
- Team oriented with a great personality to work in an open kitchen and occasionally greet customers
- Works well under pressure in a high volume environment
- Able to take charge of all back of the house operations
- Hands on and creative
Competitive salary with bonuses and insurance. Weekends required.
