Cocktail Engineer

This position reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for providing the day to day leadership and management of the Cocktail Program which complements our Craft Beer Program.

This role primarily works 5-6 bartending shifts a week as the lead bartender. You will be responsible for creating, implementing and monitoring the entire cocktail program for Beer Engine. This position requires cocktail knowledge, passion, creativity, discipline, leadership, mentoring, teaching and integrity.

Duties:

Organized Leader.

Team player.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Social Media.

Will be responsible for the stocking, ordering, organization and transportation of all alcoholic beverages.

Keep weekly inventory of liquor.

Train and certify all bartenders as to all drink recipes which are observed as our standard.

Responsible for seasonal cocktail menus (4 per year).

Create drink and shot specials to help move stagnant inventory.

Promote and market drinks. With both in house flyer and social media ad content.

Setup events and cross promotions.

Market research new liquors and mixers

Maintains company front-of-house uniform policies and dress code standards as indicated in employee handbook.

The position requirements will reflect what the administrative duties to include will be.

This will be a small salaried position per week plus an additional hourly wage while working on bartender shifts plus tips.

Cocktail Engineer is to be in charge of all special events that are directly related to special promotions.

 They will be responsible for contacting all the vendors needed for the event and arranging the timely delivery of all products necessary for the execution of the event. IE, Glassware, Liquor and other related materials.

 If there is going to be or is a need for a representative of a given distillery or distributor than all arrangements for that person to be present are to be initiated and confirmed by the Cocktail Engineer and communicated to the General Manager.

 Any and all information for a special event is to be ready for promotional release to the public no later than 4 weeks out from the date of the event.

 The Cocktail Engineer is to be present during any Cocktail related special events. The schedule will be made accordingly in order to ensure this occurs.
