Summary:Operates various production equipment to manufacture products to specifications by performing the following duties personally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Sets up and operates roll former, saw, mill, chrome plater, buffer, grinder and other equipment as required to complete operations.
- Troubleshoots machines and make adjustments as required. Performs daily, routine, and preventative machine maintenance.
- Plans and carries out production goals set by production superintendent based upon customer orders.
- Performs inspections on material during operation. Works with supervisor to develop quality goals.
- Moves material into and out of area using material handling devices as required.
- Builds shipping boxes required for rod shipments. Packages finished rods.
- Coordinates shipping of competed materials with front office. Labels boxes and coordinate loading of trucks. Assists in loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods.
- Monitors supplies required for the operation. Places purchase orders as required.
- Prepares and completes documentation as required.
- Performs routine housekeeping of area, including the cleaning of machinery.
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Problem solving skills.
