Backend Developer -Fully Remote Modis, Inc. is seeking a Backend Developer with AWS skills for a full-time remote role with a leader in the retail industry. The Backend Developer will work with the Digital Technologies - Development and Operations Team within backend software development, SDLC, Agile Methodologies, and will have a deep knowledge of API Management, databases, Integrations, DevOps, and e-Commerce applications. Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of experience in AWS tools and backend development within some of the following languages-Java, C, C#, PHP, Python, CSS.

Backend Developer Job Responsibilities Include :
  • Support and prioritize website improvement, defect resolution and work closely with business owners
  • Develops and executes strategic projects that support the company goals and initiatives
  • Responsible for defining and executing projects while improving operational business processes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop project plans
  • Participate in and manage the 7x24 on-call rotation
  • Develop and maintain a proactive monitoring strategy for all endpoints, websites, third-parties, and ancillary systems.
  • Develop and lead the production of support documentation required for operational success.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new and improved processes.
  • Work with stakeholders on various aspects of technical SEO tactics, Tag Management, and ADA Compliance.
  • Responds to and manages escalations while communicating with management

    • Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience developing web solutions - back-end integrations, API management, etc. e-Commerce solutions are highly preferred.
  • Senior-level expertise with various programming languages - Java, C, C#, PHP, Python, CSS, etc.
  • Experience with cloud technologies - Amazon Web Services is required.
  • Strong understanding of the web development lifecycle, programming techniques, and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of e-Commerce, ERP, Product Information Management, Marketing, and Digital Technology is a plus.
  • Experience with optimizing database performance, application performance, and edge caching is a plus.
