Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and develops new patient care programs, policies, procedures, and practice standards for the nursing departments and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develops and implements a standardized program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care provided by the organization.
  • Manages budgets and utilization of services appropriately according to strategic goals.
  • Provides leadership for nursing workforce development and develops results-oriented programs that promote the retention, continuing education and development of clinical nurses and support services staff.
  • Provides leadership in developing and implementing strategies to improve operational excellence and service delivery and to continuously improve results in patient and resident satisfaction and clinical, service, safety, and outcomes system wide.
  • Develops and maintains nursing and clinical infrastructure to enhance decision making and decrease variance in care, quality, and safety across the system.
  • Ensures that all patients receive the highest quality care.
  • Keeps current on innovative concepts, practices, and procedures in nursing.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build successful relationships with key leaders and internal colleagues.
  • Proven ability to partner with other executives across the system.
  • Demonstrated experience in raising and maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction scores.
  • Proven change leadership skills, with the passion to engage, energize, and motivate large disparate groups of people to introduce, implement, and sustain the high-impact actions necessary for aggressive operational and financial performance improvement.
  • Excellent team leadership skills, with ability to create a sense of shared ownership and urgency within the organization, building and enhancing the development of an accountable, results-driven culture.
  • Excellent oral, written, and relational communication skills; organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, and work cross-functionally in a matrix organization and with sponsor partner(s) to ensure that all business needs are met.

Additional Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Bachelors or master’s degree preferred.

Work Experience

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
