Description Robert Half Strategic Accounts is currently hiring an entry level Anti-Money Laundering Analyst on behalf of one of our Fortune 500 clients in Columbus, OH! The Anti-Money Laundering Analyst is responsible for identifying and investigating suspicious activity, analyzing customer transactions to detect money-laundering transactions, and making decisions on the appropriate follow-up action to take. The candidate will work proactively with the Business Line to establish procedures, including the proper method for reporting such activity to the AML Group. The candidate will also provide guidance and support to the Business Line regarding customer risk ratings and account activity. This role requires a great deal of written communication; clear and precise writing skills are a must. This is an ideal role for those with degrees in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking, Criminal Justice, JD, or Law Enforcement, while Journalism and/or English majors who possess excellent investigatory skills and a desire to work in the financial industry are encouraged to apply as well. This is a long-term contract (temporary) opportunity based in Columbus, OH. Applicants who reside out of the Columbus metro area will not be considered.Start Date: October 2021Location: Columbus, OHCompensation: $21.00 - $21.95/hourIf you're interested and have the required skills for this role, we want to hear from you today!Requirements Duties:Review currency, transactions, and suspicious activity in accordance to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Write detailed reports of AML investigations.

Follow defined procedures policies and precedents.

Refer unusual situations that require exceptions to Manager or Supervisor.

Prioritize assigned tasks.

May serve as a resource for less experienced staff and assist in their training.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Knowledge of banks operational policies procedures products and services.

Strong ability to identify and interpret data and resolve exceptions.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Good knowledge of PC based software i.e. Word, Excel, etc. and applicable business line systems.

Requires a Bachelor's degree.

Strong analytical skills and one to three or more years of related work experience.

Applicants must be local to Columbus, OH, as this will eventually become an on-site position.
