S

UMMARY: The role of Regional Estimator is to work in tandem with the sales force to qualify bid opportunities, prepare bids for window and siding supply, as well as installation services to GC’s, Builders, and Owners. Reporting to the Program Manager - Estimating, the Regional Estimator will prepare detail cost analysis of labor and materials including product codes using combinations of PlanSwift, manual plan reading and interpretation, and Microsoft Excel and PDF based files. This role will work independently to thoroughly review plans, spec books, water proofing consultant specs (if applicable), code requirements, and any other applicable addendum issued during the bid phase.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Successfully and specifically estimate product and labor costs of selected projects using our software estimation and calculation system of choice, PlanSwift

2. Successfully create proposals and solutions based documents with hard cost guidelines to profitably obtain project awards

3. Aggressively seek new avenues to drive incremental revenue

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scope interpretation and solution identification
  • Isolate potential scope shortcomings and inadequacies and provide cost effective and value engineered solutions
  • Internal and external communication with Subcontractors, Dealers and Builders for multi-family projects
  • Record bid results for tracking and review

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

The Regional Estimator will work with other Regional Estimators located across the U.S. In addition, this position will also work closely with the ISS Regional Director as well as local, regional, and national sales and operational personnel and leadership.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree perferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience estimating mid to large size project work in both new construction and remodeling with a preference for windows and exterior envelope and claddings.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and scopes
  • Thorough understanding of product specification terminology and digital estimating software
  • Ability to meet deadlines, communicate questions and concerns and search for creative solutions when needed
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Microsoft Project
