Lead Application Developer

(Front-end / Java Web Developer – Technical Specialist/Lead)

Responsibilities• Actively participate in a fun and fast paced Agile environment• Collaborate with members of the User Experience team to ensure technical feasibility of UI designs• Inspect, analyze, and translate functional requirements into technical design, application code, and configurations• Convert technical design and specifications into functioning components• Advocate for and enable team members to drive engineering practices when introduced• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization• Sponsor innovation within the team• Manage compromises and risks as they appear• Support and mentor less experienced team members• Understand the use of technology and how its implementation affects strategic business goals• Interact daily with the US Lead Application Developer

Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field• Minimum 8+ years of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML development• Minimum 2+ years of technical lead experience• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Able to deliver complex information to audiences with diverse backgrounds.• Team player with a strong sense of self-motivation• Strong ability to analyze, break down, and find creative solutions to difficult problems• Minimum 6+ years of experience with client-side JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g. AngularJS, Angular 6+, Bootstrap, React, Vue, jQuery)• Minimum 3+ years of experience delivering enterprise level client-side web applications written in Angular 6+ (not AngularJS).• Expert knowledge of Reactive Extensions for Angular (NgRX).• Expert knowledge of CSS pre-processing platforms (Sass, LESS).• Experience delivering software with a Test-driven development approach• Expert knowledge of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 and XHTML• Expert knowledge of CSS pre-processing platforms (e.g. Sass, LESS)• Expert knowledge of JavaScript unit testing frameworks (e.g. Jasmine, Mocha)• Expert knowledge of web application security issues and security by design principles• Proficient understanding of source code management tools (e.g. Git, Subversion)• Proficient understanding of Agile practices• Proficient understanding of task automation tools/toolkits (e.g. NPM, Gulp, Karma, Jenkins)• Knowledge on developing accessibility compliant web sites (WCAG 2.0 AA)• Excellent communication and

Preferred Qualifications• Experience with development tools such as Atom and Sublime• Experience with Web Content Management Systems• Experience with Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket• Financial Industry experienced would be good to have but not necessary
