MaximHealthcare Staffing is seeking aSpeech-Language Pathologist- Schools. The Speech-Language Pathologist isresponsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing anddocumenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed foreach individual student and physician's orders when applicable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assesses students’communication skills (e.g. articulations, fluency, voice, expressive andreceptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communicationdisorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations fortreatment
Collaborates with a variety ofgroups and/or individuals for the purpose of communicating information,resolving issues and providing services in compliance with establishedguidelines
Coordinates meetings andprocesses for eligible students (e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parentconferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) for the purpose of presentingevaluation results, developing treatment plans, and/or providing training toparents/students/staff
Develops treatment plans,interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing theadverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatoryrequirements
Instructs eligible students inthe use of appropriate communication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FMsystems, augmentative communication devices, etc.) for the purpose ofminimizing the adverse educational impact of communication disorders inaccordance with established guidelines and legal requirements
Maintains files and/or records(e.g. progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans,required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.) for thepurpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for referenceand or compliance
Participates in meetings,workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.) for thepurpose of conveying and/or gathering information
Provides speech and languagetherapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speechand language disorders on student success
Seeks appropriate in-serviceand professional development. Works within the policies and regulations of the Governing Board and member school districts; state public acts andregulations as described by the State Board of Education (ISBE); and applicableFederal laws, regulations and guidelines applicable to the education ofstudents
Performs other duties asassigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements: Hold a Professional EducatorLicense as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of assignment
Demonstrate excellence inverbal and written communications
Experience with collaborativegroups and processes in a student-centered environment
Other qualifications ofacademic, professional, and personal excellence as the Governing Board may specify
Must be at least 18 years ofage
