Our Hilliard facility is seeking an experienced Welder to join our fabulous team. If you are an experienced welder with at least 3 years of welding experience, this is your chance to work for a company that positively impacts peoples lives!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & QUALIFICATIONS
Responsible for the set-up, lay-out, and tack-up of fire truck cab frame weldments and brackets.
Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
Mig weld aluminum and stainless steel.
Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
Inspects welded workpieces for defects, such as cracks, cold weld, spatter and undercuts.
Operate hand tools and equipment such as compressed gas cylinders, supported air tools, portable power
tools, hand tools, drill presses, power saws, wheeled carts & bins, pallet jacks and other material handling
equipment.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Act in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
Effectively plan, organize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Follow all safety rules, policies and safe work practices.
Welding trade school or apprenticeship training is preferred.
This is a first shift position. Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:00am 3:30pm. Sutphen offers exceptional benefits program including 401K.
