Tool Designer needed for a 3 - 6 month assignment. Designer will work with Engineers to design tools to match quoted manufacturing process and proper Ferco specification.
Duties/Responsibilities
-Understand Ferco tooling guidelines and design tools to meet or exceed.
-Create tooling blueprint and have it checked for fabrication.
-Participate in checking tooling designs and laser and CAD programs.
-Write and Release tooling routers for tools required to be built.
-Write and follow up with team on CNC programming and Laser programming.
-Provide any additional support as deemed necessary by the Director of Engineering
Skills and Experience
-Min 2 years manufacturing/fabrication experience including 5 years tooling and fixture design experience.
-MRP experience desired and Epicor experience a plus.
-Microsoft office proficient, better than average skills in excel required.
-CAD programming experience required, MasterCam preferred.
-Fabrication experience of 3 to 5 years including brake press, welding, and machining operations.
-Sigma Nest Laser programming knowledge preferred.
-Unigraphics NX preferred other software proficiency considered.
