Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division (HII-MT) is seeking a qualified candidate for RF Test Engineer. The RF Test Engineer performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of the total system product to include: test, installation, operation, maintenance and sustainability. Properly employs test assets in customer-driven test objectives. Performs functional analysis and timeline analysis. The engineer will present an understanding of testing philosophies and methodologies within an agile test environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.

Minimum Qualifications

0 years experience with Bachelors in related field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks (Secret clearance minimum to start).

Preferred Requirements

  • Radar or Electronic Warfare System design and/or testing.
  • Tasking includes RF chain analysis and radar system performance analysis, as well as all aspects of test execution.
  • Hands-on test, integration, and verification support across lab facilities requiring skills in algorithms, software, hardware, and networking.
  • Support technical publications in developing for customer releases test planning, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Support technical and functional leadership through the identification of risk.
  • EW and Radar Signal Processing Techniques, Sensor System Integration and Test, and Electronic Warfare and Radar Performance Analysis Tools such as MATLAB.

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
