Ferco is looking for a qualified Information Technology (IT) Specialist to join our growing team.

The IT Specialist provides daily support for IT Operations for all IT Systems, end user support, Epicor ERP administration and support, managing hardware and software assets and maintaining operational, technical and procedural documentation. The ideal team member will have proven IT and ERP experience delivering excellent customer service in the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Epicor ERP system administration and end user support.

-Provide day to day end user support with daily IT tasks (hardware, password reset, connectivity, application use) by working closely with users and management.

-Analyze, troubleshoot, Identify and resolve system hardware, application software, database and networking issues finding root causes and providing timely technical solutions.

-Partner with third party vendors to resolve issues and schedule hardware and software maintenance and installation

-IT Asset organization, tracking, updates, purchase, installation, disposal and physical inventory

-Support, maintain, and monitor hardware, software and servers

-Maintain and support shop-floor related technologies including automation projects

-Lead IT related projects (e.g. Epicor upgrade, phone system upgrade, ISP overhaul)

-Identify and analyze service gaps, capabilities and opportunities, facilitating and implementing process improvements and procedures to increase IT agility and responsiveness as well as increase in standardization and efficiencies in all levels of the value-chain and IT organization

-Assists in ensuring that external/internal regulations and policies governing data management and retention are met, including regulations concerning security, audit and privacy

-Support and assist with Corporate initiatives

-Maintains confidentiality of information exposed to

-Participate in audit activities (financial, compliance, government, customer, QMS)

-Perform specific projects and other duties as required

Experience/Education

-Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems Administration or an alternative technology related field or equivalent experience

-Licenses or certifications: MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, CompTIA A+, CCIE and VMware preferred

-3 to 5 years of experience providing administrative support in a business IT technical environment

-2 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment

-Advanced knowledge of Epicor ERP System

Other Skills and Requirement

-Experience with reporting and analytic applications from the Technical support perspective (application support, object definitions, end-user support, etc.)

-Experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft SSRS reporting, ODCB and SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL queries

-Strong understanding of various technology platforms and concepts including: Midrange, Virtualized Infrastructures, Client-server architectures, Databases, CAD/CAM/Simulation/Post-Processing software, Windows domain based environments and architectures, Security, Networking

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify, assess, troubleshoot, & exercise substantial judgement to resolve issues as they arrive

-Strong organization, Project management and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

-Solutions oriented and ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team

-Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to be understood by non-IT individuals

-Work well in high-pressure situations (e.g., computer or system shutdowns) while treating others with respect

-Strong inter-personal skills and Customer Service minded with ability to work with a wide variety of problems and personalities, while continuing to promote a professional and pleasant demeanor

-Functional knowledge of ITAR, HR, Finance, Manufacturing, Order Management, Inventory, Quality, and Purchasing preferred

-Experience in gathering business requirements, process flows, and process mapping a plus

-Demonstrate reliability, good attendance and a great work ethic with ability to work overtime and weekends

Position Demands

-Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a daily basis

-Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc

-Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.

-Must be able to travel 30% to our sister location in Indiana
