As a

Full Stack Developer, you will use front-end JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js and backend technologies such as Python, Node.js, Go, or Java to build custom applications for our federal government clients.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work in a team with other smart AIS employees using cutting edge technologies to solve challenging mission problems
  • Build elegant, scalable, extensible, cost-effective solutions with an eye towards innovation and agility
  • Apply experience with geospatial and/or spatial image collection, processing, and dissemination to solve hard problems
  • Understand industry standards, best practices, and trends and drive adoption of new technologies
  • Collaborate with other members of the development team and project managers to deliver solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Profile of Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience building applications using open source development libraries
  • Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript using frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js
  • Experience with one or more of Python, Node.js, Go, or Java

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with web mapping, such as Leaflet, MapBox, or OpenLayers
  • Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab Runners
  • Understanding of containerization, Docker, and deploying to cloud platforms
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or DC/OS
