Riverside Research is seeking a Product Owner Proxy to assist in performing market analysis, develop product visions, and ensure product teams are delivering products of the highest value. The Product Owner Proxy is needed because many Government Product Owners do not have the necessary time to successfully fulfill the role and responsibilities. The Product Owner Proxy, therefore, works closely with these Product Owners to ensure they understand the market, the proposed solution, and the definition of success. The Product Owner Proxy will fulfill responsibilities that the Product Owner is not able to. Since context can be classified, candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance. All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Product Owner responsibilities as outlined in the scrumguides.org
  • Researching customers, their problems, and why current solutions are failing to resolve their problems
  • Develop and effectively communicate product visions to the product team and stakeholders
  • Develop user personas
  • Develop use cases and user stories
  • Develop and maintain product backlogs
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap
  • Review and approve completed user stories and other sprint backlog items on behalf of the Product Owner
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, physics, mathematics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Experience as a Product Owner
  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) stakeholders
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with working in agile software development environments
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction; effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills in fast paced, collaborative environment

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering, physics, computer science, information technology, mathematics, or related fields
  • Experience working at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC)
  • Professional certifications in Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Agile Leadership (CAL)
