Our industry-leading client in Fairfield is seeking a talented Database Administrator with expertise in IBM DB2 to install, configure, upgrade, administer, monitor, maintain, and ensure the security of enterprise databases. You will design and develop database strategies and system monitoring, improve database performance, and support capacity planning for future state requirements.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Requirements of the Database Administrator:
  • At least 3 years of development experience with DB2 LUW, DB2 zOS
  • Administrative experience with DB2 LUW v10 or v11, DB2 zOS v11
  • Experience with Linux and AIX
  • Knowledge of SQL including XML, triggers, functions, and stored procedures
  • Knowledge of DDL and DCL, utilities and database commands
