DevOps Engineer: Modis, the leader in the IT & Engineering staffing industry, is currently interviewing candidates for the position of DevOps Engineer. This is a direct hire, permanent position working 100% remotely.

CANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT RESTRICTION We are looking for an aspiring professional that has experience supporting IT infrastructure and is comfortable with coding languages. We have an open and highly collaborative development environment where communication and a team focused attitude is appreciated. As a DevOps Engineer you will be part of the team responsible for supporting and deploying IT infrastructure and tooling. You will have the opportunity to work across departmental boundaries to empower other staff to succeed by providing codified and repeatable approaches to a large variety of tasks. You will work with many programming and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Typescript, Javascript, Bash, Powershell, and more. As a DevOps engineer you will have the opportunity to work with many different exciting platforms including AWS, Chef, Linux, and other supporting software and orchestrate workflows that enable success across the Solutions IT infrastructure.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities we are looking for:
  • Computer-related bachelor degree or equivalent system administrator experience
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Higher.
  • Automation with Ansible or Chef Badges
  • Linux/Unix and Windows administration
  • Ability to script and perform basic programming
  • Comfortable working from the command line without a GUI
  • Experience with source control such as GitHub.
  • Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills.
