The SCM DevOps Operations Engineer is responsible for configuration and operations of both the legacy and target toolchain as well as executing the client's Software Configuration Management (SCM) and release management operations processes.
Key accountabilities of the function Executing Toolchain Operations and SCM/ Release Management ProcessesConfiguring and operating the legacy devops toolchain (Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Build, Octopus)Configuring and operating the target devops toolchain (GIT, Jenkins)Executing SCM processes including code merges and coordinating deploymentsExecuting release management processesAdditional skills: special skills / technical ability etc.Experience working both independently and, in a team,-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.Reliable, responsible and a demonstrated self-starterStrong written and oral communication skills.Strong interpersonal skillsKey Skills:Experience configurating/operating version control systems (Team Foundation Version Control, Git)Experience configuring/operating CI/CD tools (Team Foundation Server, Jenkins)Experience with scripting languages(bash, groovy, PowerShell)Experience working in a windows/.Net environment (code merges)Experience with software build processes (Microsoft Build, Maven, NPM)Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
