Job description
Description: This position requires a local candidate. Remote flexibility is possible, but candidates must be able to come onsite when the team returns to the office. Must have: Full Stack experience, front end UI dev and back end .net, and Angular. The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for system analysis, design, development and testing for their assigned technical product(s) or application(s), within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model. In their role, they drive change and innovation from a technical perspective and advocate new technologies within formal and informal networks. In addition, they will extend their development responsibilities to take on Operations topics to achieve a true DevOps culture. The incumbent is a fully-fledged member of an Agile feature team and may support or even lead agile ceremonies and refine business and technical requirements. Key Accountabilities:1. Software Engineering• Leads the creation of detail-level technical requirements and analyzes business requirements in collaboration with business analysts, product leads, and other members of the DevOps teams• Creates new applications and features that adhere to technical guidelines and business expectations in an Agile process• Mentors mid-level developers and performs peer reviews in furtherance of secure coding and design pattern implementation• Implements robust automated test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes and business objectives• Creates and maintains automated deployment pipelines to maintain quality control and deployment agility2. Operational Excellence• Prepares and documents standard operating procedures and protocols as well as required system documentation• Supports operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge• Resolves escalated support topics as part of tier-3 DevOps role to ensure the highest availability of criticalapplications• Plans and execute upgrades of existing applications, tools, and features• Creates solutions and solves problems using a cloud-native toolchain, to ensure world-class uptime andbusiness agility.3. Agility & Customer Centricity• Plans work-effort as part of Agile projects, supporting or even leading ceremonies• Advocates for customer-centric systems that are well-designed with a view toward excellent customer-experience, and clear business requirements• Performs other duties as assigned by managementImpact on innovations and changes:• Develops technology products and integrates new technology projects into the technical landscape• Suggests improvements to systems and processes that improve efficiency and competitive posture of thecompany• Consulted in outlining the technology/process vision in area of responsibility• Evaluates vendor, service provider, and open-source code quality to ensure best-of-breed vendor andtechnology solutionsPurpose:• Creates project/technical collateral for internal business partners and external service providers daily• Documents solutions for business partners daily• Advises project managers, disciplinary managers, and product owners on technical solutions and businessprocesses daily• Guides resources in global product domains in engineering best-practicesEducation:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or certifications.Work Experience:• 5+ Years of demonstrated success in Information Technology, with at least • 3+ Years in a mid-level engineering role, and• 2+ Years specializing in Software Engineering/Systems Engineering• 1+ Years working in Agile projectsAdditional Skills:• 3+ Years’ experience with .Net development• 3+ Years’ experience with Cloud Native Computing, esp. Docker & Kubernetes in public cloud • 3+ Years’ experience building micro-service architectures• 3+ Years’ experience with automated testing, both writing and troubleshooting resultsVacancy expired!
