Staff Accountant Wanted for local Tax Preparation Firm!
This position is located primarily in our Mansfield Ohio office, but you will also have some work in our Bucyrus office year-round as needed.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Income Tax Preparation for Individuals.
Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Bookkeeping for Small Business Clients.
Payroll Services from check preparation to quarterly tax filings to year end work.
Candidate MUST HAVE:
Friendly, Smiling Face!
Minimum Associates degree in Accounting - Bachelor Preferred.
Aptitude and Interest in Taxation as this will be your primary focus.
Willingness to study for and pass Enroll Agent exam within 1 year.
MUST be proficient working with computers. We use Sage/Peachtree, Drake and Windows products.
Willingness to work 60 plus hours per week during tax season (Mid January to Mid April each year.)
Some prior accounting/tax preparation experience is preferred, but will train.
Good Telephone work skills and etiquette are required. As well as prior customer service experience.
Must be a self-starter able to manage work-flow with little supervision.
We Offer:
28-32 hour work week in off season, but 60 hours is required during tax season.
Salary plus tax season bonus. (Salary negotiable based upon experience.)
2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service.
Casual work environment.
Employer paid training and education, including travel if required.
