Senior Software Engineer with experience in the Manufacturing Industry. This is a 6-month contract role (with possible extension) and is in Marietta, Ohio (Hybrid). The software development deals with high performance data acquisition and analytics.
- This role helps our customers improve response time to pending failures by developing a system that analyzes unit operation.
- The ideal candidate will enjoy working collaboratively in a globally dispersed, agile team to create solutions for challenging customer driven business needs.
- Work on the inception phase of projects, including collecting requirements, suggesting methodologies and technologies, and release planning
- Active researcher, keeping up with the latest trends in software development
- Influence and strengthen agile development culture
- Design and implement a solid API strategy for internal and external customers
- Design, implement, and support cloud-based solutions and applications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
- 5+ years of developing software using object-oriented design and implementation
- Experience working with off-shore globally dispersed teams
- Experience with C#/.NET+ASP.NET Core frameworks
- Database skills
- Testing experience (TDD/BDD, unit tests, mocking frameworks)
- DevOps Knowledge
- Big data / Analytics background
- Linux background
- RESTful web services and API development
- Experience architecting and coding large-scale customer-facing applications for the web
- Experience using RESTful APIs
- Experience in new product and agile development
- NodeJS or C# + ASP.NET Core
- D3 or other data visualization/charting libraries
- Building industry, facilities management, HVAC equipment, and/or BAS knowledge
- Building highly scalable / reliable applications
- Exposure to Cloud / AWS / Azure
- NoSql Databases
