The Simulation Engineer creates simulation solutions using Honeywell eSimulation tools, developing, implementing, and supporting system simulations in a timely manner. The Simulation Engineer will participate in building models, configuring simulations, training engineering teams, documenting, and tracking issues. The Simulation Engineer will interact with product development, project delivery, professional services, and management to understand and clarify requirements. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities. Key Responsibilities · Participates in the development and preparation of design specificationsWorks with the R&D team leadership or implementation team leadership to meet delivery deadlines as well as maintain/support of existing applications · Provides simulation/emulation expertise to development, QA, project, and professional services teams. · Understands simulation/emulation model needs and will be called on to update existing or to create new models · Develop, maintain, and support new 3D simulation content · Work with senior engineers to prototype new simulation technologies and ideas · Validate, document, deploy, and maintain internal software products · Producing design document, UML diagrams, user documentation · Maintains and improves quality results by following standards · Recommends improved policies and procedures · Proposes software configuration/modification to adapt to business change requirements · Recognizes and proposes core software improvements WE VALUE · Understanding various software development lifecycle · Understanding of warehouse conveyor systems/solutions including MHE. · Understanding of warehouse software solutions, including WMS, WES, WCS, and controls. · Understanding or experience with 3D game engines (Unity3d preferred) · Experience in Windows Server, · Linux operating systems · Development Studio (Development Tool), a plus · Demonstrated experience using problem solving, investigative and troubleshooting skills · Effective communicator · Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events. · Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness. · Can quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
