Job Description
The Sr. Project Manager, Connected Products is responsible for project management activities in the product development area of Digital/IoT portfolio driving growth through the execution of product plans, platform road maps, and innovation strategies. This position develops collaborative relationships across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Industrial Design, and Global Operations enabling successful project execution.
Responsibilities- Seek opportunities to strengthen team’s understanding of Agile / Scrum concepts and principles
- Lead cross functional business teams through assigned projects from inception to completion, while ensuring business requirements of cost, quality, timing, customer expectations and applicable standards are met
- Act as Scrum Master during Daily Standups and remove impediments of team goal completion
- Effective at Release Planning to prioritize, scope and deliver features across multiple software releases
- Lead product development activities from definition to production focusing on speed to market, schedule, budget and product cost.
- Meet the business impact and capital targets at launch with consideration of safety, quality, service, cost, and growth
- Monitor timing, quality, technical, and financial risk on assigned projects ensuring appropriate risk mitigation strategy development; ability to elevate and focus management attention when necessary
- Perform post launch reviews on projects to ensure targets are met and report gaps to planned business profitability
- Identify trade-offs between short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience successfully leading projects as well as significant project experience in new product development
- 4+ years of relevant work experience with Agile and Scrum
- Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC)
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Bachelor of Science degree is required; an advanced degree in Business, Computer Engineering or Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent is highly desired
- Willingness to travel up to 15%, domestically and internationally
