Job Description

The Solution Engineer helps potential customers understand, compare, and contrast the solutions that are available for buying; helps ensure that the solutions work successfully once the buying decision has been made; and maximizes sales for CardinalCommerce by providing such help to the customers. This role will work side by side with sales and come in once the initial relationship has been built to ensure the client and their technical team understands all the technical aspects and ramifications of the deployment.

What You'll Do:

Work with the client's technical team to define how the product will be deployed.

Assist with RFI/RFP requests and contracting processes, standardize best practices, and establish SLAs to drive rapid cycle times and maximum opportunity conversion.

Partner with our internal client-facing teams to ensure seamless client transitions, interacting with and influencing all levels of the organization, including senior executives.

Ensure projects are completed on time.

Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently.

Solution design for various Cardinal products and services.

Become a subject matter expert to internal and external customers.

Help with other projects or initiatives to improve our solutions, internal processes, or organizational growth.

Provide market feedback to the product organization to enhance our solutions.

Create supporting documentation on customer solutions.

Lead internal training sessions as needed.

Qualifications

What We Need You to Have:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent with four or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering of technical products or customer support and activation of technical products.
  • Demonstrated success in account/pipeline management and strategic account and portfolio planning.
  • Strong relationship management and consultative selling skills.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to drive results and successfully handle multiple priorities against tight deadlines.
  • Ability to proactively identify business opportunities and persuasively influence both internal and external constituents.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment with solid time management, organization, negotiation, and influence skills.

Additional Information

Work hours: 8 Hours / 5 Days per week

Travel:Position might require occasional travel for training or team meetings

Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
