Griffin Technology Group has an opening for a senior support specialist, who understands thedifferences between corporate IT and small business consulting. This position is responsible forproviding project management through completion, on-site and/or top level escalated technicalsupport for client computer/network related problems, and a technical reference for the NOCstaff. We are looking for someone with excellent troubleshooting, management andcommunication skills, a broad range of computer experience, and the availability to work variousshifts including weekends. All applicants must have at least 5 years’ experience implementing anddeploying Microsoft Server series and related solutions, as well as both onsite and offsitetroubleshooting and maintenance.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:1. The ability to handle issues ranging from basic hardware troubleshooting and installationto full infrastructure implementation projects, typically no larger than 250 end-points.Must be able to handle multiple issues with immediate resolution required.2. Confidently perform as a top-level technician when issues are escalated from the NOCwith quick, concise, appropriate and accurate resolution.3. Many projects will involve onsite technical support, dispatched by the NOC, or forscheduled maintenance or implementations; generally short driving distances.4. Direct all client network/system design, development, implementation, deployment andmaintenance.5. Help to develop better general/global automation (this expertise is a primary focus),internal monitoring, and client network/system deployment policies and procedures.6. Manage all in-house/client projects while involving appropriate lower level technicalsupport staff. This will involve project delegation and training assistance.7. Participate in training/continuing education, certifications, continually develop relevantknowledge and skills, and achieve 100% of GTG’s core competencies.8. Specific task and duty examples for the GTG senior support specialist position:• Primary focus on RMM/Automation and PSA continual maintenance and development,including integration, scripting, and monitoring/remediation• A wide variety and regular flow of technical support issues escalated from the networkoperations center with issue resolution expectations for that business day.• Both Front-end and back-end e-mail system troubleshooting and maintenance• Advanced SMB router/routing configuration and VPN troubleshooting• Active Directory migrations from legacy (2003+) environments to current• Full facility new or upgraded operating system deployment to dissimilar hardware• Client discussion, designing and implementation of a complete IT infrastructure from theground up (no greater than 250 end-points or users) including:o WAN & LAN connectivityo Hardware implementation with or without virtualizationo Active Directory domain creationo Windows, Exchange, SQL and RDS server setup/managemento Login script creation (GPO avoidance), thorough testing and implementation• Rotating role as Technical Services Team Leader, overseeing/managing all technical staff

Requirements:1. Required minimum 5 years of experience with small business advanced IT infrastructure,general PC server & workstation hardware, LAN/WAN/NAT/VPN/DNS routing,virtualization with VMware, MS 2003-2019 Server, Exchange 2003-2019 (OWA/OMA),SQL (2005-2017), XP-W10 operating systems, MS Office suite 2003-2019 products,upper-level Internet connectivity and router configuration, e-mail servers/services,backup & antivirus maintenance, scripting (Batch, PowerShell and VB).2. Netgear, SonicWall, Cisco, VMware, VIPRE, StorageCraft, GFI products, ConnectwiseManage & Automate (Labtech), and Linux O/S technical experience is a plus.
