Job Description

Moen, the #1 faucet brand in North America, is seeking an Associate Digital Designer for its successful In-House Creative Team. The In-House Creative Team is made up of six wildly-talented graphic designers, and a designer-adjacent team who manage the workflow, reporting and processes. Since 2019, the team has quickly established itself as a valuable resource to many arms of the business, creating everything from packaging and point-of-purchase art to trade show graphics, collateral and event theme/branding.

The Associate Digital Designer will be an integral part of this team and fully participate in the creative process, including: Concept development, art creation, feedback and approval and designing against specific specifications. This position will be responsible for designing for digital properties that support digital products, moen.com, moenplus.com, mobile apps, content, and merchandising. The designer will balance a mix of primarily mid-to-low funnel creative executions, working alongside a digital team focused on the same initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Working within a collaborative creative group format and also individually, the designer will participate in and gain exposure to multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Create compelling, original, digital pieces that connect key online touch points for clear and effective brand message dissemination that drives education, engagement, and conversion.
  • Translate graphical standards, campaigns and initiatives into effective digital creative solutions that are optimized for each channel, audience and CTA.
  • Partner with team members from Product, Channel, Sales, ID/UX, Marketing Communications and external agencies to translate marketing needs into unique, brand-driven content.
  • Work directly with other designers to provide design support, including versioning or adapting designs, implementing design direction, and working with customers, suppliers and vendors.
  • Deliver high quality creative content while maintaining consistently high standards throughout the production process. Balance multiple projects with tight deadlines to ensure work is delivered on time.
  • Facilitate reviews both internally and externally while providing consistent updates and meeting varied deadlines.
  • Offer thought leadership to solve business needs through smart design solutions. Reach design solutions quickly and efficiently, sometimes with multiple voices and stakeholders.
  • Combine art and technology, using a variety of design elements, to communicate brand and product detail through images and the layout of materials.
  • Organize complex and disparate source materials into simpler, integrated, impactful visual design.
  • Maintain organization of art files utilizing Moen’s Digital Asset Management system, and an established network filing system.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Potential to work in partnership with customers and vendors, including marketing automation and cloud-based email systems and digital marketing experience platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in digital design, web design, or graphic design required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of design experience required, in-house or agency preferred
  • Must be proficient in MAC operating systems, and an expert in Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite–Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of various web/digital technologies (HTML, CSS), content management systems, and production methods required.
  • Understand the purpose of digital content and how to design assets that will drive engagement
  • Strong design aesthetic and color sense.
  • Strong portfolio showing design skills and process.
  • Ability to translate concept ideas to presentable mock-ups.
  • Ability to work in a highly-collaborative, rapidly changing environment with tight timelines and multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated; able to work efficiently and independently with limited supervision. Will seek out information and take direction directly from project requestors and stakeholders. Must often project manage one’s own workload.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to justify design decisions and direction. Comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
