You will be a key resource in the Finance department to help drive the modernization of analytical capabilities and data literacy at Matco. Your primary responsibilities will be preparation and maintenance of key financial models and in-depth analysis of operating results, as well as partnering with development resources to create and maintain various management reports or dashboards in Power BI. You will contribute strongly to Matco’s continued success through facilitation of decision making and communicating actionable results to key stakeholders. The role will be focused on partnership with functional business teams and will have a high degree of visibility to senior leadership.WHAT YOU WILL DO Assist the Director of Finance in advancement of business analytics modernization and automation Partners with development resources to build and maintain a flexible suite of business analytics and management reporting in Power BI Analysis of complex characteristic attribution and risk estimation using foundational statistics Positive and effective business partnership with all levels of management Work closely with Finance management to develop analysis and recommendations in support of business objectives Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and special projects as assignedCAREER PROGRESSIONS / PROMOTABLE TO:This person should desire an upwardly mobile career path resulting in a higher-level position, which could involve management responsibility.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, or analytical field; MBA a plus
3+ Years of related experience in Finance or Analytics roles
Ability to learn business requirements and translate them effectively within design of reporting solutions
Ability to work well with all levels of management
Experience designing management reporting and/or dashboards in Power BI
Experience working with large datasets or databases, and integration with the broader MS Office suite (beyond Excel)
Analytical and quantitative skills in balance with creative and critical thinking
Exposure to modern business analytics software and methods
Experience in advanced SQL or DAX considered a plus, basic SQL required
