Job Description

The Human Capital Development Leader will lead the development and execution of the Hobart Service Labor strategy. The primary outcome of the role is to establish a dynamic, responsive, and sustainable approach to building a robust and diverse pipeline of well-trained talent to fill entry level roles in our service organization at a rate of up to 100 per year. The Human Capital Development Leader will be charged with identifying academic, community and other institutional partners and own the development of strategic relationship between these partners and the Hobart Food Equipment Group. This leader is expected to expand to other talent development needs in the organization once the program has been established. This position reports to the Hobart Service Vice President of Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop & Manage relationships with all key education & community partner stakeholders to ensure coordination and execution of the Hobart Field Service labor development strategy.
  • Expand and grow the Hobart Service Technician Fellowship program to a mature and self-sustaining framework
  • Understand the division’s workforce needs and set annual plans to meet those needs
  • Translate company needs, education and competency requirements into programs that develop the needed skills of the anticipated future workforce.
  • Development and execute a robust in person, written & social media-based communication strategy targeting students, community members, community groups and adult work force members informing of potential work force opportunities and career options in the company.
  • Development and promotion of appropriate career events, job shadowing, internship and/or co-op opportunities
  • Develop metrics to measure results and success of the program.
  • Research and benchmark other programs to develop innovative and best in practice programs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree + 10 years relative experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience in applicable work-based program development, recruitment, program management or training & development strategy development
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of corporate information
  • Strong organizational, project management, problem solving & influencing skills
  • Understand,experience, or willingness to stay current with applicable laws and regulations related to recruitment & scholarship administration.
  • Ability to create and implement communication strategies & marketing plans
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be comfortable to interface with multiple groups of people, develop positive relationships and partnerships.

Preferred:

  • Academic background related to marketing, engineering and/or business development
  • Understanding of educational systems.
