- Ability to lift 50 lbs and reach under sub floors for installing or removing cables.
- Must be able to climb a six-foot ladder safely.
- Excellent understanding and troubleshooting skills of server, network, storage (SAN) and mainframe hardware
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of cable installations using both fiber and copper cables.
- Excellent customer service skills

- Excellent PC skills including G-Suite and Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of facilities infrastructure
- Good understanding of tape technology
- BS degree in computer, networking or IT related fields
- Greater than 5 years of practical work experience within an enterprise data center
- Comp TIA certifications
- Provide 24 x 7 first response technical support for the data center
- Participate in on-call and shift rotations for customer problem resolution
- Pre and Post Installation preparations and documentation, quality assurance, asset inventory auditing through the DCIM tool. Tape backup and disk destruction administration, shipping and receiving of assets and documentation management.
- Installation of IT hardware to include: racking, patching, and installation of parts.
- Produce specific deliverables relating to operations management.
- Occasionally lead staff members and peers on projects.
- Must be able to work independently and typically requires little supervision on complex tasks only.
- Works as a team member with senior technical staff on large, complex technical projects.
- Completes assigned technical projects on time. I.e. analysis, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, documentation, etc.)
- Analyzes problems, develops and implements solutions, and makes decisions that significantly impact projects.
- Resolves escalated trouble tickets and complex issues within established timeframes while providing quality customer service.
