- Ability to effectively Lead, cross functionally, both internally and externally and build relationships to source, qualify, and maintain consistent, high quality commodities at low total landed costs.

- Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, services, etc.)
- Experience handling commercial issues with suppliers, assessing supplier performance, and driving positive outcomes
- Proven competence in negotiating skills
- Strong professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Manufacturing industry experience, (Automotive is a plus)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central
- Knowledge of materials management
- Capable of interpreting market data
- Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents
- Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes
- Indirect purchasing experience
- Facilities equipment & capital spend experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of experience
