IMAGING AND INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN Contract to hire - 100% on-site work - no remote work Three shifts available: Shift times are:

  • 1 st shift : 6am - 2:30pm
  • 2 nd shift : 3pm - 11:30pm
  • 3 rd shift : 11pm - 7:30am
Pay Rate:
  • 1 st shift : $15/hr.
  • 2 nd shift : $16/hr.
  • 3 rd shift : $17.50/hr.
JOB SUMMARY The Imaging and Install Technician is an entry level technician role. The technician sets up and configures computers and other peripherals in the Configuration Lab at a low to mid complexity level. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
  • Installs images and components in computers using detailed work instructions in Mobility, Roll out and Mid-Tier work areas.
  • Performs simple to moderate configuration jobs with limited assistance from Senior Technicians and Leads while following Work Instruction Documents
  • Performs tagging, kitting, and reduced packaging, as well as labeling and re-boxing completed configured equipment.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Required:
  • Basic knowledge of computer operation and construction.
  • Knowledge of, and the ability to identify, components, and software, used in computers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Ability to work towards, and complete, the CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Good listening skills with ability to receive information completely and understand what is being said
Additional preferred competencies or preferred qualifications:
  • A+ certification within first year of hire
WORK ENVIRONMENT The general physical requirements for this position are listed below. Individuals require the ability to be on their feet for their entire shift walking and/or standing to perform daily functions. The employee will be required also to frequently reach and bend, occasionally squat, and may be required to climb small ladders throughout the day. Fine motor skills may be used to operate a computer keyboard, mobile phone and/or other such device.
