Job Number: 1170 Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Nuclear Technician to support the Air Force in the technical areas of electromagnetics and ionizing radiation.

This position will be located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and will require travel up to 50% of the calendar year which may include weekends and domestic/international travel. The core responsibilities for this position include designing and conducting laboratory and range tests, performing data analysis and collections, and interfacing with industry, customers, and stakeholders.

All positions with Riverside Research require U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities:
  • Collate and process data collected from testing and customer interactions
  • Design custom test setup visualizations in SolidWorks for fabrication and implementation to meet non-standard customer requirements
  • Develop reports & briefings summarizing analysis and measurement techniques. Present reported findings to co-workers, supervisors, and technical community peers
  • Evaluate electromagnetic properties of materials
  • Interact with government customer and industry across the Air Force
  • Set up and conduct in-lab and on-range tests

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have minimum of Secret clearance to start (ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance)
  • Bachelor's degree in physics or engineering with 2-4 years or MS Degree in Physics or Engineering with 1-2 years of experience
  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks, COMSOL, Matlab
  • Experience with electromagnetics
  • Good organizational/communication skills
  • Lab experience in an academic or work setting
  • Understanding of basic radiation propagation
  • Experience with ionizing radiation
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the year including weekends and domestic and internationally (valid US Passport or ability to obtain one)
