Job Number: 911 Riverside Research is seeking a full-time space/counterspace analyst to work at our facility in Fairborn, OH and at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The space/counterspace analyst will conduct technical research studies and provide assessment of foreign capabilities and R&D trajectory; collect, manage, and analyze technical data; write and contribute to in-depth finished reports; and present findings and recommendations in formal briefings. The work will be performed as a member of a cross-functional research team, in accord with government customer specifications, and will require collaboration with technical subject matter experts.All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship.Job Responsibilities:- Researches and acquires technical data and information from classified and unclassified sources
- Catalogues and tags data; organizes information for storage and retrieval
- Maintains a complete listing of research material to include, the title of the material; author, the origination date; language; the type of material (i.e. article, abstract, report, electronic media, etc.); and any other information necessary to identify the inventory of collected research data
- Meets regularly with research team members to discuss research assignments
- Analyzes and prepares material for written documentation on the findings, to include verbal and written comments
- Writes summaries, technical assessments, and formal reports on research findings
- Assists research team with identifying new and novel technologies in relevant research areas
- Leverages technical expertise to assist other team members' research
- Prepares and presents formal and informal briefings on research findings
- Assists with identifying and prioritizing areas that require more detailed evaluation
- Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, statistics, computer science or other relevant fields
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience
- Knowledge of near-peer competitor space/counterspace systems
- Experience conducting research as part of a team
- Strong writing skills with experience writing technical research reports
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong briefing skills with experience presenting material in public
- Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player
- Master's Degree or current enrollment in a Master's program in the field of aero/astronautical, electrical, mechanical, software, or systems engineering, or other relevant scientific or technical fields
- Experience with or knowledge of advanced military technologies
- Intermediate or higher language ability in a national defense critical language
- Knowledge of foreign political, military, and university systems
