Riverside Research is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer to provide support to the NASIC Geospatial and Signatures Group and its Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) modernization initiative. The goal of this initiative is to modernize PED systems and sensors through improved acquisition, process improvement, and enhanced capabilities. The systems engineer will work with a team of program, acquisition, and systems engineering professionals to augment the government program management office in applying technical understanding and solutions to PED modernization. All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the documentation of the current MASINT processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) architectures, capabilities, and services
  • Assist the government in developing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts to include but not limited to: Operations Views (OV), Systems Views (SV), Capability Views (CV), and Data Views (DV) using system modeling language (SysML)
  • Support technical and process information on community acquisition efforts and assist in preparing a program plan that lays out an integrated approach
  • Facilitate and support the use of common architecture solutions to apply integrated solutions across the MASINT enterprise
  • Apply standardized system engineering methodologies to enhance R&D and acquisition processes
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • DoD Top Secret clearance (with SCI eligibility)
  • Bachelor's Degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • 1 year of experience in systems or computer engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Ability to learn model-based systems engineering tools
  • Strong organizational skills; self-starter required
  • Ability to manage time independently without direct supervision
