Toyon Bay is located on beautiful Santa Catalina Island about two and a half miles, by water, from the main town of Avalon. We also have road access and it's about 8 miles to Avalon. Our facility is situated on 90 acres, right on the water, and is absolutely breath taking. We operate CIMI (Catalina Island Marine Institute), during the school year which is a Marine Science based camp. In the summer, we are host to Seacamp, which is a Naui based dive camp where children come to unplug and have pure, uninterrupted fun. Amenities include, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, paddle boarding, Rock wall climbing, scuba, ropes course with 65 ft. giant swing and much, much more. We are currently looking for Experienced Cooks, Preps & Dishwashers. Must be able to pass Background check, and a pre employment drug screening.

-Key responsibilities Include:
-Works in support of the Department Leads.
-Successfully completes routine tasks as directed by Department Lead.
-Completes additional and/or specific tasks in a timely manner as assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, or Department Leads.
-Follows all safety standards relating to work responsibilities.
-Reports all facility needs to Department lead as needed but always by end-of-shift.
-Relates and responds courteously & respectfully to guests and fellow team mates.
-Successful candidates will have:
-A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
-1 - 3 years of experience in same or similar field of the position. (Preferred.)
-A "can do, will do" attitude & understanding that our job responsibilities are always taken seriously.
-Someone who will communicate well with Camp Leadership/All Staff to ensure the success of our workplace.
-Someone who is a self-starter and is motivated to work.
-PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Requires the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Compensation: $14.25 per hr Minus 3.70 per hour for Room & board. $10.55 Take home plus Room, Board, (which includes furnished housing with electric, water, and trash; and three prepared meals per day), fun & an awesome lifestyle. Health insurance provided after 60 days.
