Kiraly Tool and Die, Inc. has an immediate opening for an entry-level machinist or tool and die maker, for a full time, day shift position, for small scale machining. This is an ideal position for an ambitious recent high school graduate. We offer the area's most competitive wages, benefits, and a modern machining environment. Starting wage ranges from $12.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on your "base experience". Requirements are listed below. Earning potential for this position typically ranges from $22.00 to $30.00 per hour. WE OFFER THE APPRENTICESHIP to become a journeyman machinist or journeyman tool and die maker. There is opportunity for growth into other areas of the business after you develop your skill set a machinist or tool and die maker.
Overview:
Applicant will be trained to interpret drawings, perform set-ups, program and machine a variety of materials using modern cutting tools and traditional manual machinery. Applicant will be trained in holding tolerances and meeting surface finish requirements per drawing specifications. Applicant will be knowledgeable of speeds and feed rates for machining a variety of materials. Strong communication and math skills are a necessity. Applicant must have steel toe work shoes, safety glasses and possess an impeccable work ethic. Our general machine work is typically small scale, custom parts for a variety of industries. We design and manufacture stamping dies and all types of custom jigs and fixtures. Most of what we machine can be held in your hands or moved with our die carts or small jib cranes.
Machinery:
You will be trained in operating a Bridgeport mill, manual lathe (3-jaw, 4-jaw and collet chucks), horizontal and vertical bandsaws, manual surface grinder, hydraulic surface grinder, manual drill press, radial arm drill press, and a bench grinder. You will also be trained in operating late model CNC machinery. Maintenance of the machines and some assembly work will be routine.
Requirements:
We prefer that had taken a high school machine shop class or have similar training at a vocational school. You must be ambitious, attentive to detail and safety, and capable of working a 40-hour week on your feet. WorkKeys certification is preferred and NIMS credentials are a plus. We are a drug-free facility. WorkKeys testing and drug testing (both provided locally) will be mandatory prior to hiring. There is a 30-day probationary period.

WE NEED YOUNG PEOPLE IN OUR TRADE NOW! If you had taken machine shop classes in high school (or wish you had), this is a great opportunity to enter the machine trades and begin building a rewarding career. You will not be stuck in front of one machine unless that is your desire. Whenever possible, you will be multi-taskingnot watching a single machine operate. We do not permit cell phone use unless for special circumstances. There is no wage tier system or "cap" on wage currently. There is opportunity for growth into other positions when available. You control your own destiny regarding wage, if the company as a whole is profitable.
Benefits:
Health insurance is Medial Mutual. Employee contribution is 25% of monthly premium, deducted in (2) equal payments before taxes. Health insurance begins after 30-day probationary period.

(1) week paid vacation after (1) year of full-time employment, (2) weeks after (5) years, and (3) weeks after (10) years.
401k plan with 100% company match up to 3% of employee contribution.
We offer overtime when it is available. Maximum overtime is (55) hours per week, consisting of (10) hours on Monday thru Friday and (5) hours on Saturday.
