AAA East Central is looking for an On-Call employee in our Fleet department as an ERS Service Provider at the AAA Columbiana location. Our tow drivers provide prompt, courteous roadside assistance to AAA members and clients in a safe and professional manner. Compensation is $12.75 per call as well as $10 per battery sale.
Responsibilities:
Safely operates a service vehicle such as a tow truck, wrecker, flat bed or battery service truck in accordance with established standards and procedures
Responds within a given estimated time of arrival and ensures complete resolution to member issues
Ensures member safety and vehicle security; educates members on possible issues
Takes the necessary action to place the vehicle back into operation. Services may include: battery boost, jump starts, flat tire replacement, fuel delivery, lock out service, winching, towing and/or minor mechanical adjustments
Provides battery testing, delivery and installation to AAA members in a competent, professional manner
Tows disabled vehicles to repair facilities or other member-requested destinations
Maintains vehicle records and repair records
Monitors equipment condition and battery inventory
Completes reports, records and other paperwork as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience and/or training in automotive repair and towing equipment
Excellent customer service abilities with outstanding interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must possess valid State vehicle driver's license (with towing endorsement, if required by state)
Weekend availability required
Successful completion of a pre-employment DOT physical, background check and drug test.
