Combustion Engineer

The Combustion Engineer works in partnership with the Batch and Furnace Manager, and the Production and Quality Managers, to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.The Combustion Engineer should have:Strong analytical skills and data analysisExperience scheduling preventative maintenanceExperience with environmental regulations is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong troubleshooting skills The Combustion Engineer will:Ensure safe and efficient operating conditions of glass melting furnacesEnsure optimal energy consumption and proper burner set-up (flame geometry, length, overall profile)Ensure furnace conditions are within prescribed parameters through daily inspectionsReview furnace data on a daily basis and make adjustments as neededAssist in managing production targetsSupport continuous improvement and elimination of waste through ongoing analysis and identification of inefficienciesAssist with troubleshooting problems within the manufacturing process
