- Perform Data analysis, collect business requirements and identify business rules.
- Analyze, develop and support Data Integration, EDW and Data Management using Data Stage, DB2,SQL Server, SQL ,Aix platforms and tools.
- Collaborate with Business Analyst to define data integration logic and Data mappings
- Build and test new ETL Jobs to fulfill the service requests
- Automate the ETL processes using Shell script and Crontab
- Participate in Unit Testing and support Business team for UAT.
- Perform Build versions , Create Server request and code deployment to go-live, post-production, and continued support of end product.
- Debug data quality issues by analyzing the upstream sources and provide guidance to data integration team resolutions.
- Work closely work with DBAs to fix performance bottlenecks.
- Monitor Production Jobs and Ensure the job issues are fixed and all Jobs completed based on daily schedule
- Perform Datastage Installation 11.7 , Analyze the pre requisite and co-ordinate with infra teams to receive correct servers
- Propose Migration strategy from 11.5 to 11.7 with pros and cons with client manager and perform migration of assets between servers
- Perform weekly backups of DS server and maintenance activities
- Analyze the Datastage design from other team members and guide them on resolving issues . Provide guidance to client manager on establishing ETL standards
- Coordinate the status calls with client managers and address the concerns on deliverables on Datastage and Cognos
- Responsible for Project management related activities like Project setup ,Timesheet submission, approving leave plans for teams and Client feedback
- 10+ years of experience in ETL Design and Development using IBM Datastage 11.5 or later Components
- 6+ years of experience in Installation and upgrading IBM Datastage 11.3 or later
- 6+ years of experience as IBM Datastage Administrator
- Experience in Datastage Migrations on AIX Environments
- Experience in administrative activities like Configuring Security for the users and users groups, Project backups , Server clean up and restarts.
- Should have extensive knowledge on design and development of Datastage pipelines
- Should have extensive working experience with different data sources like I series, DB2,SQL server
- Experience in utilizing IBM Operation console for production Jobs monitoring and identifying issues
- Should be very good at writing complex SQL and T-SQL queries
- Thorough understanding of DW principles (Fact, Dimension table, Dimension modelling and Data warehousing concepts)
- Should have extensive knowledge on writing and debugging shell scripts
- Should be familiar with Crontab and IBM IS manager for scheduling and building versions
- Should manage and lead team on BI solutions and should have ability to translating functional or non-functional requirements to system requirements.
- Should manage Daily and Weekly status meetings with client
- Should possess good communication skills
- Knowledge on Cognos BA and PA is a plus
- Knowledge of Kronos,Casino Management applications is a plus
