ETL Developer (Informatica)

Modis is seeking an ETL Developer for a direct hire position in Durant, OK (remote for now and eventually 1-2 days a week onsite). You must have a minimum of three years' experience in a data/ETL/engineer role. This role will establish data management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy. You will also participate in development of interfaces and design of user interface and business application prototypes. This critical position will have the opportunity to work across the organization, with multiple teams and management. This is an excellent opportunity with an exciting organization

Responsibilities:
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and escalates to manager as needed.
  • Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Participates, and in some cases takes the lead on, formulating and monitoring data architecture policies, procedures and standards.
  • Builds moderate level complexity data interfaces, both internal and external sources.
  • Participates in design of data architecture standards.
  • Designs and implements database logical and physical models.
  • Provide development and production support to troubleshoot all data interfaces and data model related issues.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

    • Skills:
  • Large, high volume data and optimization.
  • Advanced SQL experience, including the ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, indexes, sub queries, conditional joins, case statements, etc.)
  • Excellent written communication skills; ability to create comprehensive reports detailing effectiveness of outreach efforts
  • Work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both internally and externally.
  • Ability to be flexible and take on new and challenging projects.
  • Experience in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.

    • Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, computer information systems, electronic engineering or related field.
  • Three+ years of equivalent experience as a Data Engineer working in a Microsoft environment (MS SQL, SSIS, PowerBI)

  • Experience with enterprise ETL tools (Informatica IICS/PowerCenter) REQUIRED
  • Experience with managing multiple Service Requests and competing priorities.
  • Four+ years of data migration experience.
  • Four+ years' experience with data modeling tools. (SSIS, Erwin, etc.)
  • Five+ years of converting business requirements into data, database specifications and loading plans.
  • Three+ years exposure to database conceptual design, logical data modeling and capacity planning.
  • Some experience with defining and managing data security policies.
  • Some experience working with development teams on data used in user-based interfaces and backend data requirements.
  • Professional Database or ETL framework focused Certifications Preferred (MS SQL Server, Oracle, SSIS, SAP DS, Informatica, etc.)

    • Pay Rate: $85-90K per year USD (W-2 Requirement)
