Scientific Programmer (TETSS-22-0596-W): Bowhead seeks a Scientific Programmer to support an upcoming Fires Support Test Directorate (FSTD) effort at Fort Sill, OK. This directorate conducts planning, reports on independent operational tests, assessments, and experiments in order to provide essential information for the decision-making process for acquisition and fielding of air defense artillery systems and field artillery systems. The FSTD is a subordinate unit to the United States (US) Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC) whose mission is to plan, conduct, and report on independent operational tests, experiments, and assessments of Army materiel in order to provide information for the acquisition and fielding of war fighting systems. Responsibilities may include: • Develop system scripts to support system development, data collection, reduction, management, analysis, and reporting • Assist in configuration and maintenance of ADP connected to the LAN • Configure and maintain network and communications software • Provide input to instrumentation designers to assure that instrumentation can receive process and output the desired data products to assure stimulations, simulations, and harvested data to support the requirements of operational testing • Provide input to Engineering Technical package • Implement and maintain database with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods including maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award. Qualifications: • The Scientific Programmer shall have five (5) years ExCIS (Extensible C4I Instrumentation Suite) data reduction specialized experience • A BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics Science, or equivalent is required • Security+ is required SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Secret clearance at this location.
