Find your future with us.Boeing Oklahoma City is currently looking for a First Line Systems Engineering Manager to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK .The manager for this role will focus on leading a Systems engineering team on a Commercial Derivative Aircraft modification program.A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in systems engineering processes, communication, project management, risk/issue/opportunity management, mentoring, training, and development.Travels periodically to support program and customer meetings, modification of the aircraft, and team meetings.Position Responsibilities:Manages, develops, mentors, coaches, and motivates a team of 15-20 employees
Manages employees in Oklahoma City and San Antonio performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering from system level to product level including but not limited to the following activities and associated work products:
Product qualification
System requirements management, development, decomposition, and allocation
System Functional analysis
System architecture, design, and synthesis
System verification and validation
System analysis (Technical Performance Measures, Risk, Issue, & Opportunity Management, SEIT performance/leading indicator metrics)
Leads a team of systems engineers to complete projects with first time quality on time and on cost
Execute certification & conformity plans to obtain FAA certification
Manages projects using Earned Value Methodology
Oversees supplier technical subcontract management tasks and integrates supplier activities into program plans
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes
Leads process improvements projects and root cause and corrective action analyses
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes ensuring team understands and executes Boeing’s processes and ensuring quality of all the team’s internal and external deliverables
Required Skills:Ability and Willingness to mentor and coach

Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems
Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines
Knowledge and understanding of the methodology and processes associated with risk management (including Technology Readiness Assessments), opportunity management, and issues management
Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization
Ability to analyze problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines (ME, EE, etc.)
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
10+ years’ experience in engineering
3+ years’ experience in systems engineering
3+ years’ experience leading teams or projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5+ years’ experience in systems engineering
5+ years’ experience leading teams or projects
Experience in aircraft modification projects
Certification in Earned Value Management
