Optometry office seeks to hire both full time and part time office staff who have experience as a medical assistant, nurse, or optometry technician.
Candidates should have a very friendly and professional approach to working with staff and patients. Our office is open six days a week and weekends are required work days for all positions at this time.
We prefer candidates who have previous experience in the medical field, but it's not necessary. We're also seeking bilingual candidates for English and Spanish, but also seek those who can speak Vietnamese. The candidate's attitude, friendly demeanor, and attention to detail are very important. We will train qualified applicants to meet our standards of care.
Job Duties include:
Opening and closing the office each day
Being on time
Greeting patients
Helping patients with insurance and paperwork
Professional phone etiquette is required
Answering phones
Scanning patient documents
Completing patient referrals to see a specialist
Maintaining a clean office
Responding to customer complaints and inquiries
Ordering office supplies
Pretesting and patient prep for doctors
Helping with various office tasks and assignments without question
Job Requirements:
High school diploma
Reliable transportation
Friendly and professional attitude
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail
HIPPA compliant
Available to work weekends
Polished and neat appearance
Ability to handle pressure during busy office hours
Must present a resume with education, certifications, and work history
Compensation:
$10-$16/hour, depending upon experience, for qualified part-time and full-time employees
Note:
All new employees do have a 90 day probation period.
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to pass a drug screening which will be performed as a condition of employment and random drug screens will be performed at management's discretion
