Maintain service vehicles and operate them in a safe manner.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:Maintain shop area cleanliness by use of floor cleaning machine, broom, and mopEnsure outside entrances and sidewalks are kept clean and during inclement weather, clear off any buildup of snow or iceCommunicate with service manager/supervisor before disposing of any vehicle parts.Keep abreast and understand emergency plans for hazardous waste spills.Ensure all company’s policies regarding the safe handling of hazardous material are followed.Perform walk around inspection of Service Department vehicles dailyEnsure all service department vehicles are kept fueledEnsure all service department vehicles kept clean, inside and outParticipate in the pickup/delivery of customer vehicles and service supplies/partsAdheres to all service regulations in regard to drivingAll other duties as assigned by manager.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent required.Valid driver’s license or CDL class B with air brakes preferred.General knowledge of trucking industry helpful.Good communication skillsCustomer service skills.Self-motivatedAbility to operate full size pickup and simple machines.Your rewards will be an exciting environment with advancement opportunities at one of the nation’s leading and growing heavy duty truck dealer groups.
