This Religious Education Coordinator position is based in Oklahoma City, but will spend 90%+ time pastoring at Osan Air Base in South Korea. This position will provide Christian Education and work closely with service members and their families stationed overseas. Flights back to Oklahoma City will be provided every three months. These furlough trips will last a total of 18-24 days per year.
This mission position is 100% government funded and requires no fundraising.
The Coordinator will provide a comprehensive religious education program that is not detrimental to any faith group or denomination and is acceptable to a wide variety of Protestant Christians.
The Coordinator will develop and implement programs, goals, policies, and procedures for all religious education programs including children and adults. These programs include Sunday school, Children's church for each worship service, Vacation Bible School, Parent and teacher training, Bible studies and seasonal programs (Christmas and Easter).
The Coordinator will perform administrative tasks such as preparing publicity material, ordering curriculum and supplies, updating Protestant RE Coordinator continuity files, evaluating program effectiveness, and developing an annual calendar of events and budget. Coordinator tracks monthly attendance and submits attendance figures to the Senior Faith Group Chaplain and provides metrics regarding the service of volunteers in the program.
The Coordinator must be able to pass a Federal Government background check, drug test, and be able to obtain a passport.
RESUME:

-At least one year working in an office/administrative/church environment.
-Experience as a director of Christian Education in a local church or similar.
-Basic MS Office Skills
-Superior organization and planning skills.
-Relevant college/seminary degree preferred
Salary is 52K/year plus an 18K housing allowance.
